Christina Dixon, BSDH, RDH (Dental Hygienist)
1989 Licensed as RDH in California
1989 Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, University of Hawaii at Manoa
1988 Dental Hygiene Certificate, University of Hawaii at Manoa Licensed as
RDH in Hawaii
Christina was born in the San Joaquin Valley and lived in Australia and Maui
before moving to the Bay Area in 1989. She continued her professional
education by working in a San Francisco periodontal office for ten years.
There she learned the true value of preventive care while honing her
periodontal therapy skills. Seeing the results of implant and periodontal
surgery was exciting to her.
When Christina's children were young, she worked through a temporary
agency that allowed for a flexible schedule. This enabled her to work in
many practices and experience different approaches to dentistry.
She began working for Dr. Pieraccini one day per week in 1998, and after
seeing "what a fabulous dentist he is and how respectfully he treats his
patients", she knew it was where she wanted to work.
Christina continues to take classes in dental and hygiene topics, including diode laser therapy, current instrumentation techniques and oral cancer detection. She has a passion for helping patients find the most effective way to care for their teeth and gums, and loves seeing the huge positive changes they can achieve
on their own.
When she is not spending time with her family, Christina loves mountain biking or knitting.
